WHAT IS THE ATLAS CCR
The ATLAS is NAMMU TECH's first fully CE rated Closed Circuit Rebreather.
Inspired by it's predecessor - the Redbare - our aim was to build a safe, durable & innovative rebreather. Using the latest in material science, engineering & software, the Atlas CCR allows for a comfortable and safe diving experience, providing excellent Stack Duration and a Work of Breathing that is second to none.

We also believe that purchase, maintenance & upkeep of your unit should be as smooth as possible, that's why EVERYTHING is included in the base price, no extra costs for additional parts & handsets, it ALL comes included! We have also streamlined the purchasing of the Atlas CCR by creating an online system that allows you to select payment options, find an instructor to teach you, and get your rebreather delivered to your chosen instructor with a minimum of hassle. For more information on the ATLAS and what makes it "PROBABLY" the best rebreather on the market, keep scrolling!

THE CANISTER
The Atlas is unique in adopting a bottom loading system for the scrubber, thus allowing 02 sensors and sensitive electronics to remain dry and undisturbed at the top of the unit. ‍We use a custom threaded sealing system that provides a secure & easy way to load the scrubber.‍

The unique design of the scrubber insures that there is a body of air surrounding the scrubber unit, thereby adding a layer of insulation between the scrubber and the canister wall. This has the effect of drastically improving the efficiency of the scrubber, thereby removing C02 more effectively, and making it a warmer unit to breathe.

CANISTER PARTS

Electronics Pod
Contains all the comms, electronics & sensors.

Head Section
Acts as a distribution block for the breathing loop.

Centre Section
Houses the filter, ADV (Automatic Diluent Valve) & OPV (Over Pressure Valve).

Base Section
Provides a loading point for the sodalime filter and also serves as a water trap. The threaded nut attaches the base to the centre section.

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
THE PROMETHEUS HANDSET, designed in-house specifically for our rebreathers. This handset embodies all the design principles that make the Atlas what it is. Robust, innovative & built for purpose, sporting an alluminium shell & state of the art software & hardware. This makes the Prometheus what we believe to be the perfect CCR dive computer.

SOFTWARE FEATURES

Robust Design
The software & screen are protected by a milled marine grade alluminium housing and bezel, designed to easily withstand pressures up to 20bar, and all the "unintended abuse" that diving equipment usually endures.

Integrated Dive Logging
We have created our own dive logging software called KI-DIVING. For more information on this click here.

Multiple Redundancies
The Atlas CCR comes with two handsets as standard that are fully independant of each other, enabling either handset to drive the unit in the event of a handset malfunction.

Sensor Array
The software reliably & consistently tracks O2, CO2, pressure, humidity & temperature in the loop.
This is achieved with an array of state of the art sensors positioned in the warmest & driest part of the unit, thereby negating common reliability issues in rebreathers.
BREATHING LOOP
As far as we know the Atlas has the best Work of Breathing on the CCR market. This is achieved with some interesting little features, such as the use of a corrugated hose with a wider diameter, allowing for less turbulent airflow.

Our modern manufacturing methods have also allowed us to design a breathing loop with no sharp angles or restricted airflow, greatly diminishing frictional drag.

Our DSV (Diver Switching Valve) is additively manufactured out of a cutting edge material stronger and lighter than Delrin. The proprietary umbrella valves fitted on either side of the DSV were designed specifically to improve the EoB (Ease of Breathing) when compared to standard mushroom valves.

Unlike most rebreathers, the Atlas uses a single counterlung, which ensures none of the warm exhaled gas gets cooled down by the ambient water temperature. This ensures greater scrubber efficiency by making the unit run hotter.

As the exhale gas is routed directly through the scrubber, any excess moisture is collected in the base of the unit, avoiding humidity & mould buildup in the counterlung.

BREATHING LOOP FEATURES

DSV
Our Diver Surface Valve is coated with Ceracote, an extremely hard wearing ceramic paint. We've made our DSV extremely light by using cutting edge additive manufacturing materials, increasing overall comfort while diving. By using a proprietary material made for the aerospace industry, the Atlas's mushroom valves dramatically reduces frictional drag inside the loop.

Counter Lung
The counterlung's postion & shape is unique, in that it hugs each side of the ribcage. This ensures that the gas volume is as close to the lungs as possible, thereby improving the breathing experience.
The counterlung is also fitted with an emergency rescue valve. This will allow for a safer diver rescue in case of an emergency.

Breathing Hoses
By using larger diametre corrugated hoses made from a soft rubber compound, the diver experiences greater ease of movement with the DSV, and improved gas flow. By using a bungee retainer system and avoiding the use of loop weights, the user is able to adjust the hoses for greater comfort while diving.

ADV
Our Automatic Diluant Valve is a simple diaphragm & lever design, helping with ease of maintenance. Given the ADV's position in the centre of the diver's back, making it possible to breathe the unit in almost any position.

OPV
By using a simple drysuit Over Pressure Valve positioned next to the ADV, we've enhanced the Work of Breathing in multiple positions.

THE SCRUBBER
Because of the single counterlung system, warm exhaled gas travels directly into the scrubber and then back up and around the outside. This allows the unit to run hotter and dryer thereby improving the reliability of the life support sensors and making the Atlas CCR much more efficient.

Because the unit is bottom loading, the delicate sensors and electronics in the head are not disturbed during the fitting and securing of the scubber.

The scrubber is capable of packing over 3kg of soda lime, and given the efficiency of the scubber design, our unit has the 'best in class' scubber duration.

The Atlas CCR uses an axial scrubber design with spring loaded base. This helps prevent gas breakthrough due to poor scubber packing. Axial scrubbers usually trade Work of Breathing for increased scubber safety.
However, our design features in the breathing loop ensure our WoB stays second to none.

THE FRAME

The Atlas CCR frame is incorporated into the centre section of the unit with a series of metal rods, allowing for a perfect balance of flexibility and regidity.

With the use of clamps instead of cam bands, our cylinders are securely attached and become part of the frame, adding stability to the unit. The unique design of the feet further enhance unit stability & prevent damage to shiny new dive boats.

Weighting is an often overlooked design feature, making it harder for divers to achieve correct buoyancy and trim. The Atlas CCR has been designed with this in mind by incorporating 6 attachment points across the unit, allowing divers to add a maximum of 18kg of lead. In addition to this, the frame rods can be supplied in various materials, allowing the diver to further control the weight of their unit, as explained in 'Versatility'.

HARNESS & WING
Like all other Nammu Tech harnesses, the Atlas CCR uses carbon composite components to reduce weight and increase the durability of the system.
The Atlas CCR can be delivered with various harness configurations, from the traditional hogarthian to Cobra quick-release, with multiple backplate material choices available.

Specifically designed for our unit, the Atlas wing provides lift exatly where needed to ensure the diver's confort in the water.
All the fittings on our wing are mechanical, ensuring easy maintenance and repairs.

VERSATILITY
The Atlas CCR has been designed to allow the diver to customise accessories, attachments and material choices to achieve the perfect setup.

The unit has three different material choices for the backplate, rails & frame. Stainless steel, alluminium & carbon fibre.
The rails allow for the attachemnt of various auxillary accessories such as torches, batteries, gas bottles etc...
The unit comes standard with red & black fittings. However, alternative colour choices are available to add a personal touch to your unit.
Additionally, for an extra cost, the entire unit can painted in a selection of different colours. For this option, please get in touch for more information.

TRAVEL WITH EASE
Because of it's versatility and material choices, the Atlas CCR can be configured for travel by significantly reducing it's overall weight, allowing our customers to cut down on travel costs and easing transportation.

As mentioned previously, we believe in providing our customers with everything they need to dive successfully with the purchase of extras and add-ons. Therefore, the unit comes included with a IP67 rated flight case.
